GENERAL SECURITY SERVICES TRAINING CENTER
General Security Services, LLC is licensed with the State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Licensing, and holds the following licenses:

Our Security Officer Training Programs are developed to meet the needs of the ever-changing private security field, and are intended as a professional development program. Our Security Officer Training Programs provide participants the basic knowledge required to professionally and safely perform the functions of a truly demanding job function. Our programs set the standards for participants to prepare for more specialized training as it relates to the protection of persons and property. Our program has been designed to meet the needs of newly hired private security personnel, volunteer workers for special events, and a variety of other security related functions, such as those working in the corporate security arena, or as an excellent professional upgrade, refresher and re-certification programs for experienced working personnel being considered for advancement or promotion. Even security supervisory personnel and managers will benefit from our program.
General Security Services, LLC is
licensed by the Florida Department of State to offer training for
licensure of security officers. In fact, many of the larger companies
use our training center to certify their officers. We offer armed and
unarmed security training, extensive training in public relations, fire
safety, handcuffing techniques, certifications in the use of pepper
spray, as well as, bodyguard training and certification.
PROGRAM TRAINING SCHEDULE
Unarmed Security Officer Training Program -
License "D"
24 hour course over 3 days.
- Cost of classes, photo and Notary is $115.00.
- On completion, you take provided documentation
to the Florida Department of State and Consumer Services with a personal
check or money order of $87.00.
Renewal of "D" license is a 16 hour course over 2 days. The cost is
$75.00
for the classes; and the Department of State fee is $45.00. (You have to renew your
license after 2 years)
Armed Security Officer Training Program -
License "G"
28 hour course over 3 days including one day of Gun Range.
- Cost of classes, photo and Notary is $245.00, not including a $45.00 fee
for gun range time.
- A physical is required. GSS can provide a physician with a
$55.00 fee.
- On completion, you take provided documentation
to the Florida Department of State and Consumer Services with a personal
check or money order of $154.00
Renewal of "G" license is a 4 hour course at the gun range. The cost is
$100.00, not including a $45.00 fee for gun range time, and for the Department of State fee is $112.00
